Lincoln Greens Golf Course

⭐⭐ Really disappointed with the condition of Lincoln Greens right now. I’ve played here plenty of times, and the course is in about as rough of shape as I can remember. The fairways and tee boxes are absolutely loaded with crabgrass, but the rough is even worse. Within just 10–15 feet of the fairway, the grass and crabgrass are so thick and overgrown that finding a ball can be nearly impossible. Our foursome lost over 12 balls during the round, with most of them landing within 15 feet of the fairway. These weren’t shots hit deep into the woods or completely off the property—they were balls just barely missing the fairway. It honestly looks like some areas haven’t been mowed in who knows how long. I understand Lincoln Greens is a municipal course and don’t expect country-club conditions, but being able to find a golf ball just a few yards off the fairway is pretty basic course maintenance. Lincoln Greens can be a fun course, which makes the current conditions even more disappointing. Hopefully they get the crabgrass and rough under control because, in its current condition, it’s very difficult to recommend.

Good course but the man at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming, get a different job if you are so miserable working at golf course.

Lincoln Greens has a great clubhouse staff and clientele. Earlier this week, I lost my sunglasses on the course. I left a message with one of the clubhouse staff, I believe his name was Van. Less 2 hours later, Van called me and said that someone had turned my sunglasses in. Many thanks to Van, his boss, Lance, and the golfer who brought my glasses to the clubhouse.

The layout has a lot of potential, with some scenic holes around the water and a few tricky spots that make the round interesting. Unfortunately, the fairways were in poor condition and could really use more maintenance. The greens rolled okay, but also showed some wear, and the pace of play was quite slow. That said, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was good, and we still managed to have fun out on the course despite the issues.
